Man can’t make it to his wedding anniversary so he organises a surprise for his wife. Her reaction is priceless!!
For married couple Ben and Jen of Cairns, Australia, spending time apart due to Ben’s job working away never gets any easier.
Like many Australians, Ben’s job requires him to Fly In, Fly Out to his job at a mine site, spending weeks at a time away from his beloved.
Jen even had to celebrate her One-Year Wedding Anniversary without Ben on Tuesday night, as he was away working.
But Ben wasn’t about to let distance come between them that easily. So he organised a surprise for her.
While Jen was having dinner with her family at a local restaurant, two musicians from local band Drewboy & The Sax Addicts appeared and played her their original song “FIFO”.
The song is written from the viewpoint of a man who works away and misses his sweetheart.
Jens reaction will soon have you reaching for the tissues!
Songwriter Drew Brauer, who used to work Fly-In Fly-Out as a High Voltage Electrician, before quitting to follow his dream of being a professional musician, said the song was very close to his heart.
I had to fight back tears of my own while I was playing it he said.
I hope this song will raise awareness https://sites.google.com/view/instagramviewer about the struggles faced by so many couples and families that are affected by the FIFO lifestyle.
The bands seven-track debut album, featuring the song “FIFO” is available for purchase from the band’s website, www.drewboyandthesaxaddicts.com
